BABY BEDROOM UPDATES WITH CUTENESS OVERLOAD

Guest User

A baby nursery is a space of limitless possibility. So be brave and step out of the usual baby pink or baby blue mould. There are so many enchanting print designs and colour schemes to choose from. Here are current trends for nurseries:

  1. Scandi design — use pale grey as your base and a tiny pop of colour such as rosebud pink or a minty green

  2. Design for all ages — economy and practicality mean that nursery decor needs to last beyond the babygrow years, so the trend is to choose designs that will still be relevant into toddler, pre-school … and older. So all you’ll need to do is update the toys — and the curfew!

  3. Bunting, stars and garlands are here to stay.

  4. Animals are all welcome. Bring in the wilds, these are children of nature.

  5. Welcome in white. There was a time when white was a no-no, but stain-resistant FibreGuard means you can use it in any room for even the messiest of kids.

Here are some creative ideas to get you started — and feeling broody too!

  1. NEUTRAL AND NICE

Neutral colour schemes for baby rooms are very on trend. Combine everlasting creams, taupes or beiges with a dash of dusty colour. The scheme is muted and has a longer ‘shelf life’ than the traditionally very baby colour combinations.

2. LIFE’S A TEDDYBEARS’ PICNIC

We’re just so in love with the My World Collection. It continues to delight and enchant humans of all ages. For the really wee ones, there are so many fun designs, such as Little Bear Vintage shown in this photo.

3. SCANDI MINT

The Scandi trend persists and is gathering popularity for nursery decor. Pair greys with baby pink, or you could add a dash of minty freshness as in this fabric story.

4. ABC’S ALL AROUND

These curtains and blinds are fun with an educational twist and perfect for a baby room that will grow up into a curious toddler room. This is Animal Alphabet Fudge from the My World Collection.
